I had grown bitter gourd Rohit in my half acre farm. The fruit setting was very good, and the vines were highly vigorous throughout the season. It is an early variety—I started harvesting in just 45 days after sowing, which helped me reach the market early.

The fruits were uniform, with a length of about 17 to 20 cm and a weight of 120 to 130 grams, which the traders appreciated. Also, the plants showed good tolerance to foliar diseases, which made crop management easier.

I used Karoda’s Hybrid Chilli Nandi this season on my farm in Andhra Pradesh, and I’m very happy with the results. The fruit setting was excellent, and the plants gave a good yield. The pungency is strong, just like what the market demands. Even when other fields nearby had virus problems, my crop stayed healthy – the virus resistance is really good. The best part – I got a very good price when I sold it. I will definitely choose Nandi again next season.
